NeuroMotive Coach Certification

The NeuroMotive Coach (NMC) Certification is appropriate for teachers, personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and therapists. The emphasis of the NMC Certification is application of the Ignite! methods in the classroom, gym, or other non-commercial setting. This is the “in-the-trenches” certification for delivery of the Ignite program in a small- or large-group scenario, or one-on-one.

Rate: $495 for a two-day weekend Certification course, or 4-week interactive Online Course.

Completion of the NeuroMotive Coach Certification permits you to refer to yourself as a NeuroMotive Coach. In a non-commercial setting (teachers, social workers, some therapists, other publicly-funded institutions) the NMC designation is all you need to operate your practice.

Contribution Requirements and Oversight

NeuroMotive Coaches around the world submit their treatment plans and lesson plans every month to IgniteHQ for discussion, recommendations, and tracking. The NMC has access to their own database, and outstanding examples of NeuroMotive plans are shared monthly in our Ignite newsletter.

To maintain their Certification, each NeuroMotive Coach is required to submit a minimum of one treatment plan per month using our upload system.

Ignite Academy Affiliation

Becoming an Ignite! Academy Affiliate gives you the right to use the Ignite! logo, name, and programming to help promote your NeuroMotive Coaching program. Our Academy thrives on enrichment programs; after-school programming; community learning initiatives; research studies; and one-on-one training for clients with ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, and various brain injury issues.

Using an established program aids in the process of gaining access to funding from Insurance Companies, Government Agencies, and Trust Funds. But the real benefit is the collaborative effect of dozens of very bright people working together to help clients with brain issues.

The emphasis of our NeuroMotive Coach Certification is always strongly focused on continuing education.

Ignite Anti-Aggression Certification

Exercise, as we all know, is a terrific mood enhancer (studies show it’s much better than Prozac for elevating mood and a sense of well-being.) However, it can also be an important tool for coping with stress: by simulating duress through exercise, the brain can become more adept at dealing with the chemicals and biology responsible for overreaction. Automatic reactions and habitual rage can be broken by creating new patterns of action. Even the most hardwired responses can be reversed, modified, and made into positive outcomes in the long term.

Ignite ConcussionPro Course *coming soon!

When should an athlete return to play after a concussion? When should they return to the classroom?

New research suggests that cognitive tasks like reading, math, and other processing may actually further the damage of a concussion and prolong recovery. Unfortunately, doctors and ER nurses struggle to diagnose concussions, because they don’t have a baseline assessment of the athlete against which to compare.

With the Ignite ConcussionPro course, Ignite Academy Affiliates can offer baseline testing in their facility. Athletes are tested to establish cognitive baselines, and tested again if a concussion is suspected. From these tests, NeuroMotive Coaches can make an accurate diagnosis and provide helpful guidance for a return to work, play or the classroom.

Ignite AntiBully Course *coming soon!

With physical education budgets being cut around the world, funding IS increasing in one area: anti-bullying programs. By changing our message to best help the student, we can stop bullying at the source.

Take your Ignite message into schools, and help some of the kids who need it most. Teach children to pursue movement for its own sake, and find Bright Spots in a diverse array of activities: academic, social, and athletic.
